This spring step outside the classroom and into the bustling Broadway scene of Manhattan with the New York: Theatre course while earning credit for English 1191.

Langara offers a dozen external studies courses allowing students the opportunity to study in global destinations like Italy, Greece, Japan, New Zealand, Korea and the UK.

Although attached to a considerable price tag, these courses gives students an in-depth educational experience unmatched by any classroom experience.

In the New York: Theatre course, only two weeks is spent on campus at the beginning of the course to get students familiar with modern theatre and how to analyze stage performances.

Then it’s off to the Big Apple where students study and play in the heart of New York’s theatre district.

The 21-day trip includes a variety of dramatic performances, a handful of iconic theater tours and visits to hidden gems of the theatre scene.
