The visually impaired are getting some help thanks to the Langara students creating the Guardian App

Assistive technology is supposed to deliver agency into the hands of its user, and it usually does. But the process can be complex and often not user friendly. Web and Mobile App Design and Development students say it will be different with Langara’s Guardian App.
While most software for the visually impaired needs a sighted person to set up and provide training, a group of Langara students have created an app with the goal it will need as little teaching as possible.
