Once again, Langara hosts another bike to work week to challenge locals and students to reduce their carbon footprint.

Bike to Work Week included refreshments, prize draws and free bike tune-ups by Eric Price from VanCycle Mobile Bicycle Shop, a mobile service truck that brings a full-service shop to customers and offers sales for cycling needs from their wide variety of bike-related accessories.

While bike to work only lasts a week, Langara is hoping it will help instigate a longer solution.

To help students and teachers bike to work the college is hoping to make that transition easier and fun but helping plan a bicycle route and a finding a bike buddy to cycle together.

Bike to Work Week is organized by the HUB whose mission is to get more people cycling, more often.
