President’s resignation letter

To All Members of the Langara College Community:

With this message, I wish to inform the Langara community that I have submitted my resignation to the Chair of the Langara College Board of Governors Anne Lippert, with my last day on campus being March 1, 2013.  This is as a result of my acceptance of the presidency at SAIT Polytechnic.

The decision to leave Langara was a family decision that did not come easily.  When I joined Langara in 2008, I was warmly welcomed to the Langara community.  That was especially seen with the birth of Aleksander in the spring of the next year and the support that we received.  Langara has a strong sense of community and it will be that and all of you that I will miss the most.

It goes without saying that it has been an honour to be your President.  I am also humbled by the outstanding people whom I have worked with and consider themselves Langarans.  From this, I look forward to hearing about new achievements and continued success that I know Langara will enjoy.

Thank you for your support and I wish you all the best as we go forward.

Warmest Regards,

David Ross
