Langara College has saved over 2.2 million plastic bottles with the addition of water filling stations on campus, but specific initiatives to eliminate single-use plastics are vague in the school’s strategic plan.

The already long lines in the cafeteria are likely here to stay, due to a reduction in staff’s hours.

“Where hungry minds gather” might be the mission statement of the company that provides dining services at Langara, yet for years, students have been starved of knowing what ingredients go into the food they are being served.
