Students and staff are invited to take part in the first ever Terry Fox Run at Langara College on Monday Sept. 15.
Entry forms are available in the main foyer until the walk/run starts at 12:30 p.m.
The 2.5-km run is due to take place at the Langara Golf Course. There will be a tent for check-in and registration near the parking lot.
The run, one of hundreds taking place across the country this weekend, was organized by the Langara Cancer Connection, a campus club dedicated to supporting students who have been touched by cancer.
Club co-founder Pourya Eslami said that it is a new club and that Mondays run will be the first event organized by them. It will also be the first Terry Fox Run at Langara.
According to the clubs website “Langara Cancer Connection is a student-based club whose goal is to increase cancer awareness.”
